How does one seek one’s own self? Does it require strenuous mental exercises or a certain attitude? Does one have to forego the senses and the indulgence of the senses to seek the inner self?
Absolutely not! All that one has to do is to not react as soon as a situation is presented to one. Pause for a while. The moment one pauses, one has made the initial contact with the soul. As simple as that. Now make that a practice and one is in constant communication with the soul. Then watch as the drama unfolds scene after scene.
Circumstance does not present itself to one. It is the other way around. One has the luxury of presenting oneself to a particular circumstance. Adopt this stance and watch every condition caused through ignorance, evaporate. When a situation that requires action occurs, instinct kicks in without a pause or any deliberation of the mind. This instinct is not that of the stimulus but the soul’s instinct.
What makes me the authority to write about circumstances and the soul? No one is an authority on anything yet everyone is.
Confused?
We all theorise and conceptualise based on institutional information. That makes us the authority to write volumes on subjects. But information derived from other sources does not constitute knowledge. That knowledge which is special only to you is the truth and all else is somewhere in-between the truth. The answers to everything lies within you. You and only you have that which discerns the truth. There is no outside institution or academy that can give it to you. Only you have access to your inner self, and none other external object or subject can gain entry.
If you have already made that entrance into your inner self, this is what you will experience:
A quiet knowledge that there is a goal to accomplish. That the goal is the same for everyone therefore competition is deleted. The same knowledge that makes you realise that your goal accomplishment will release all else in the world from
illusions.
The one common goal. The goal to physical immortality, because there is no other world save this as the best of all possible worlds. It is because of this that life has a habit of propagating itself in whatever shape it can take. Give man physical immortality and he/she will stop wreaking havoc caused by competition and less realistic actions which are nothing but reactions based on fear. Fear of losing, be it life or any other loss. This is what the soul aims at. An evolution of the human spirit to attain immortality.
